Hello, hi! I’ve found myself not blogging as much as I used to. I’ve been keeping last year’s tradition going of only shooting polaroids and fuji instants for myself (and Instagram of course). At the beginning of this year I promised myself to go out and live as much as possible. Even though blogging is an essential part of my business, there was/is a need to take time away from the computer. We all need to, and I encourage every single one of you to do it right now. Here are a couple of my favorite scenes from this summer (so far):
- A trip to Big Sur, a place I had been wanting to go for so so long. It is magical.
- Camping with 9 of my favorite people. There was a baby black bear who we named David and he rattled one of my friend’s tents while he was inside. yah.
- I took a day off with 9 other wedding photographers earlier this month and headed to the cape for a beach day. Beach drinks, sing-a-longs and a boat ride, heaven.
I have been shooting so much over the last 3 weeks that I have developed calluses all over my right hand. I just noticed yesterday during an engagement session that they lined up perfectly with parts of my camera, and I feel so bad ass! haha…
Last night as I was driving back from a session in New York City and as the sun was setting I thought about how lucky I am to do this for a living. I thank my lucky stars every single day.
