A Mountain-Top Wedding at Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont – Ali & Bryan

Some weddings are quiet and polished and buttoned up.

And some weddings involve private vows on top of a mountain, chairlift rides, big Vermont views, and mountain bikers casually ripping by in the background like part of the guest list.

This Bolton Valley wedding in Vermont was very much the second kind.

The day had that relaxed mountain feeling that I love so much. Nothing felt too fussy or overproduced. Just two people, their favorite humans, a whole lot of green mountains.

Before the ceremony, Ali & Bryan took time for private vows on the mountain top, which was easily one of the sweetest parts of the day. There’s something about stepping away from the noise for a few minutes, standing somewhere high and open, and getting to say the real stuff without a crowd watching, just a few mountain bikers whizzing by.

Afterward, they met their friends and family below for a full ceremony and party. It was one of my favorite weddings of the season!
