I needed a change of pace today. I’m in the middle of my “crazy” season as we call it, where editing piles up faster than I can shoot and deliver. It’s NBD. I love this job. I used to share more than just weddings, so I thought I would do that today!
A few years ago I bought this camera at the recommendation of the one and only Nate Kaiser. It’s just a 35mm point and shoot, but it’s really awesome. I take it everywhere. I might take 1 or 2 photos with it when out, and I definitely let the rolls pile up. I love that they’re little time capsules. By the time I send them off to get developed I have no idea what’s on them. I’ve sent batches off about twice a year and the moment I get them back I stop everything and spend the rest of the night sending picture texts to my friends. It’s SO FREAKIN FUN I LOVE IT. I encourage everyone to do this. Get a crappy point and shoot (or an awesome Nikon One•Touch, they’re like $10 on ebay) and keep it in your bag. Don’t try to compose the perfect pretty picture. Never look through the viewfinder. Surprise yourself every once in a while with photos you forgot existed.
These are just that. Totally random, shot from the hip. This particular set spans from somewhere in March to the beginning of September.
